We believe that in establishing his church, Christ has given the Holy Spirit to all believers to guide and empower them for the mission and work of the church. The Spirit gives believers gifts—both ordinary and extraordinary—that are meant for the edification of the church and are to be exercised under the authority of Scripture in the regular fellowship of the church.
We believe that Christ has established under-shepherds (pastors) to provide oversight, teaching, and care to the people of God within the local church. Because the Spirit gives unique gifts to all believers—and no one man has all the gifts—we believe this oversight is best exercised by a plurality of men who have demonstrated the gifting, character, and compassion appropriate to an elder of the household of God.
We believe that the mission of the church is most effectively pursued in partnership with like-minded local churches. To this end, our church partners with Sovereign Grace Churches to contribute to the spread of the Gospel and the discipleship of pastoral leaders in a way our local church alone would not be able to achieve.
We believe salvation is the work of God extended to us by his grace which is rooted in his love. We do not obtain salvation through our own merit; it is a work freely done by God through Christ applied to us by the Holy Spirit (Titus 3:4-5). This great work of grace stirs up the affections of the believer towards repentance and the worship and glory of God.
We believe that God has created both men and women in his image with equal value and dignity, and through Christ has given them a shared inheritance. We also believe that God has entrusted each with a unique role in the church and in the family that differ in function but are equal in dignity and importance. As a church, we seek to disciple all believers that they may grow in their God-given responsibilities.
As a church, we seek to see the Gospel spread through the regular preaching and proclamation of God’s Word in both local and global contexts. To this end, we seek to establish local churches that will bring the Gospel beyond our own local context.
